Christmas Card

Christmas 2010

Dear Friends and Family,
As this year comes to a close I am so grateful for all that we have been blessed with.  We have four healthy children and a new dog this Christmas, Beau.

After waiting and waiting Allison now has a dog

We have wonderful neighbors and our children attend great schools.  I would have to say that if this year had a theme it would be the Year of Cousin’s.  It started with the Birth of the first Spicer cousin, Jack.  Then as the year progressed the Dorough’s gathered multiple times to celebrate first birthdays including Evelyn’s.  We were happy to have more cousins’ visit this summer and as a wonderful treat we hosted Uncle Steve and his family for Thanksgiving.   So much Love, so much Family, so much fun for all as together  we shared memories and made new ones.

Learning some basics with her new Trumpet

Middle School Band Night at NHS
Allison finished up her first year in middle school and is getting straight A’s in 7th grade.  She has joined the band and like her father is playing Trumpet.  She enjoys it and is still continuing with Piano.  She turned 12 this year and is now in the youth program at Church and she is excited to graduate from Primary Sunday School to the “big kid” classes in January.

Colin is 9 and is amazing the teachers with his Math skills.  He too is continuing in Piano and can’t wait to play another instrument like his sister.  He is finishing up his Cub Scout Wolf requirements and loves Scouts.  We had a busy summer but probably his highlight was attending Scout Camp.

Preschool Graduation
Lauren flew through PreK and is now in Kindergarten.  She just loves school and can’t wait to pick out her book to read every day.  She is almost reading independently.  Not to be left out she is fabulous with Math just like her sister and brother.

Our Baby, Evelyn turned one year old in June, obviously she has had a year of firsts.  Walking, running and completely mobile and communicating; we are all aware of what Evelyn wants.

We were ecstatic to be able to get away on a vacation this Spring and we picked a relaxing week at the beach on the East Coast.  The Kids were delighted with the waves and didn’t mind the colder Atlantic water.

After starting off the Beach season with cold water we finished the summer with a nice cool float down the Rainbow River for Colin and Allison’s birthday.   As Jason and I watch our children grow and learn we are so amazed by these precious gifts we were given to watch over and guide.  Their spirits are strong and righteous; we are humbled by their depth.  We pray daily to be worthy to be their parents.
It is our prayer for you this year that the Spirit of Christ will be a comfort and a guide to you and your family and brings peace within your home and families.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Love, Jason, Anna,
Allison, Colin, Lauren, Evelyn, and Beau
